We can’t wait to meet you.

Birds of a Feather is looking for like-minded people to join our flock, and that means service providers who prefer fewer chemicals, and clients who have an embrace-your-beauty attitude.

We have booth rent available for hairstylists, and we have treatment rooms available for esthetics or other personal services. We are also seeking apprentices who want world-class cosmetology training from seasoned hairstylists who understand beauty and business.

Who we are.

We are part of the greenspace salon group, which includes Dry Spell Salon, located in SLC’s Liberty Wells neighborhood. Each of our salons has its own personality that has developed over time based on the unique individuals who make them up. We can’t wait to see what our new community of beauty professionals in Bountiful grows into.

Focus on what’s natural.

After a few years in the hair industry, Steven realized that the constant exposure to chemicals was affecting him, and he wanted to create a place where he could avoid as much of that as possible. That’s how greenspace started, and we bring that into all of our salons.

We encourage our hair stylists to use more natural color lines (like O&M, Oway, and Davines) and we don’t allow toxic chemical services like Brazilian blowouts or acrylic nails in our nest. We carry haircare and styling product lines by brands that also share this ideal.

Find your flock.

We are committed to creating a culture of inclusion in our salons. We welcome clients of all races, genders, sexual orientations, gender identities or expressions, national origins, religions, or physical abilities.

Our salons are small, so it is essential that we create an atmosphere of trust and safety. We will not tolerate disrespect for people of diverse backgrounds or marginalized identities in our space.

We want everyone to love their hair. We are honored to provide clients with gender-affirming hair styles. We stand against hair discrimination, and we will seek out education that helps us serve clients with all hair textures.

As a business, our dollars are our voice. We evaluate all the brands that we carry in the salon, and we do not sell products from brands owned by people (or parent companies) not aligned with our values. We make regular donations to local charities that provide dignity and comfort to people in our community.
